Sinking of Japan (2006)

	게시자 admin Sinking of Japan Description: Suruga Bay in Shizuoka Prefecture was struck by a devastating earthquake. Two hours later, after the earthquake in the deserted downtown of Numazu, Shizuoka, Toshiro Onodera (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi) wakes up, only to find he is pinned inside his car. Later, he finds a lost girl, apparently also an earthquake survivor. An aftershock uprooted the pole lines down, triggering an enormous explosion. A rescue helicopter led by a fire woman named Reiko Abe (Kou Shibasaki) then comes to them. Before having a conversation with Reiko, they witness the eruption of Mt. Fuji in the distance. In Tokyo, American geologists became concerned of Japan; one geologist predicted that the country would sink within 40 years. Meanwhile, Toshiro was revealed to be a construction worker; during one of his work hours, he meets Reiko again; with Misaki (Mayuko Fukuda), the girl who was rescued from the earthquake in Shizuoka. Her father was killed and her mother is in a coma. They climbed to the ship tower where Reiko shared her life story to him, thus, creating a friendship between them.
