The story revolves around several ordinary high school boys who discover that they inherited some odd genetic traits from their parents. Among other things, they soon find that wings can sprout on their backs. It isn't long when they find themselves caught in a millennia-old war, and each of them must represent a different faction to preserve the future of mankind
